On August 27, 2019, Taehoon was introduced as the first member of CLIMIX's upcoming boy group which is still unnamed. On September 21, 2020, Taehoon was announced as an upcoming contestant on the 2020 teen survival show, CAP-TEEN. He was did not pass the first performance evaluation and thus was eliminated.
On August 11, 2021, he was introduced as the 22nd contestant of the survival show Wild Idol. During the show's finale, he was revealed to have ranked 2nd overall, thus making him a member of TAN. They debuted with their first mini album Limited Edition '1TAN on March 10, 2022.
On June 29, 2024, leader Changsun announced on TAN's official fan cafe that the group had disbanded.
