Between the age of 19 and 20, Lee's main goal was to make rap and dubstep beats. He would send the music he made to people he thought might listen to his work, including The Black Label. They offered Lee the chance to work with them and practice as a producer.
In 2015, under the name DJ Boid, he soon went on to Seoul's nightclub scene to hone his skills as an DJ and EDM producer. Through this work, Lee obtained a producer credit, under the name cawlr, on the song "Bullshit" by G-Dragon. He also worked as a model, posing for and for the brand of Korean designer Choi Moo-yul, Vlad Vladis.
In October 2017, a celebrity launch party hosted by Italian fashion house called "F is for.. " celebrated Taeyang's collection with the brand in Hong Kong. Lee was one of the DJs at the event, alongside other well-known DJs in the Asian music scene.
He participated in BLACKPINK's first full-length album The Album. He is credited as a co-lyricist on three of the eight tracks: "Pretty Savage", "You Never Know" and "Lovesick Girls"; In the latter, Løren also made a special appearance in the music video. Before that, he featured in two studio live streams with Rosé as a guitarist.
Additionally, on her 25th birthday, Rosé surprised her fans by uploading on her personal Youtube channel three covers of songs by , and , with the help of Løren playing the acoustic guitar. On November 8, a teaser was posted on The Black Label's official Twitter account, revealing that the singer would debut as a soloist under Fire Exit Records, his independent record label. On July 28, 2021, Løren confirmed the release of his second digital single "Need (Ooo-eee)", for the following day. An early-2000s-inspired rock single with bilingual elements that highlighted his guitar-driven style, it is a post-grunge, melancholy punk-pop song, with lyrics which recalls the summers of his childhood. On September 1, 2021, during an interview with Vice magazine, the singer announced that has signed with the British digital music distribution company .
Also, Løren revealed that the meaning of his fanclub and stage name comes from one of the tattoos on his chest, which reads "LØNER". On November 19, 2021, The Black Label and Fire Exit Records announced that Løren are preparing for a comeback in the same month. On November 21, a teaser poster revealed that he would be releasing his first English digital single "All My Friends Are Turning Blue", on November 25.
Fashion magazine Dazed Korea put Løren on the cover of its 2022 March issue with Rosé. Eight covers were published, all with Rosé and Løren wearing 's fresh collection. He was also spotted at the in March 2022 at Yves Saint Laurent's fashion show by Anthony Vaccarello.
In April, he uploaded on Instagram a photo of him alongside the logo of the fashion brand, Saint Laurent, announcing Løren as a model and representative of Saint Laurent's 2022 Eyewear Campaign. Løren was the first male solo artist from Korea chosen by the brand as their model. On March 13, 2023, Fire Exit Records was shut down because the singer signed with the American recording label , in partnership with The Black Label, for his future projects.
