On November 9, 2021, he left C-JeS Entertainment to establish his new one-man agency, Palmtree Island. On June 29, 2022, it was announced that he would be one of the three Korean mentors of the Thai reality survival show Seven Stars, alongside Youngjae and Park Jihoon. On September 6, 2024, Kim Jae Joong and Kim Jun Su unveiled a series of teasers, hinting at their collaboration under the name JX.
