In October 2012, following the departure of members Jonguk and Eunho, N-SONIC announced the addition of four new members, one of whom was Zion. In May 2016, it was reported that N-SONIC had disappeared, as their agency had lost contact with all the members after returning from activities overseas. Following the disappearance, the group was presumed to have disbanded after the members submitted a unilateral request to terminate their contracts.

The members later won a legal suit against their agency regarding the contract termination.
