He made his debut with the boy group VARSITY on January 5, 2017 with the single "Round One" under the stage name Bullet. On June 28, 2018, it was announced that he would be using his real name, Junwoo, as his stage name ahead of the group's comeback with "Flos Clarissimus". The group officially disbanded on April 23, 2020.
Junwoo, under his full name, made his solo debut on January 14, 2021 with the single "Emptiness".
