On April 29, 2023, Haneum made his solo debut with the digital single "First Love". In October 2023, he was introduced as a contestant in Mnet's survival show Vocal Showdown. He was eventually eliminated from the competition.
On June 12, 2025, he was introduced as a contestant of Mnet's survival show Boys II Planet, representing ES Nation. On September 18, he was eliminated in episode 10 after ranking 18th place. On January 26, 2026, it was reported that FNC Entertainment partnered with Boys II Planet to make a spin-off group with Jang Haneum as one of the members.
ES Nation responded to the report stating that they are positively reviewing the idea and that their artist is currently preparing for his first-ever physical album since debut expected to release in March. On March 2, 1theK revealed that he would be making his comeback in March 30. On March 10, it was announced that the upcoming Boys II Planet spin-off group has been restructured into a duo.
Jang Haneum dropped out of the lineup due to undisclosed reasons. On March 11, he announced that he would release his second mini album, Daydream on March 30.
