In 2016, Jaemin participated in the Mnet reality show BOYS24 where he was a part of the Unit Yellow. Unfortunately, he was eliminated in the semi-finals. In 2019, Jaemin was a back up dancer for BTS.
In 2020, he was a back up dancer during Natty's debut single "NineTeen" promotions. He was also a back up dancer for TXT and Stray Kids during their different performances in 2020 and 2021. On March 16, 2022, Jaemin was introduced as the third member of XEED.
They debuted on December 1, 2022 with the mini album Dream Land. On March 22, 2024, Nature Space announced that the group would disband on April 8, 2024. On December 29, Jaemin debuted as a soloist with the digital single "Drink".
On April 20, 2025, the XEED members opened new SNS accounts under the name XD. On October 1, XD announced its first sub-unit, consisting of members Bao and Jaemin.
