In 2019, Hamin participated in the reality show Produce X 101 as an individual trainee. He was eliminated in the fifth episode and ranked 63rd. In late 2019, Hamin was a member of the pre-debut group Eight.
Unfortunately, they presumably disbanded in the same year and was unable to make their debut. Hamin was first introduced as a member of Bz-Boys on October 29, 2020, their 500th day anniversary. On May 10, 2021, he was formally introduced as the group's fifth member.
In February 2024, Bz-Boys's Instagram account unfollowed members Hamin and Double. D, confirming their departure from the group. On May 25, Hamin held his first solo fanmeeting following his departure from the group.
On June 9, Hamin through his Instagram post announced that he will release the single album "Look Like U", on June 15.
