B. I debuted as the leader of boy group iKON on September 15, 2015. On June 12, 2019, he left YG Entertainment and the group after an illegal drug purchase scandal.
On October 6, 2020, B. I was appointed as IOK Company's youngest executive director. Four months later, it was announced that he will be the head of record label and entertainment agency 131 Label, and thus it formally was registered as an official subsidiary of IOK M on February 26, 2021.
On March 16, 2021, 131 Label released a music video teaser for the song "Midnight Blue" and announced the release of B. I's first single album "Midnight Blue (Love Streaming)" on March 19. On April 15, 2021, he released the digital single "Dear.
" under the name ID (BE IDENTITY). On May 7, 2021, 131 Label announced a schedule for B. I's comeback with a global single, "Got It Like That", on May 14 and a full album, Waterfall, on June 1.
On September 30, 2021, 131 Label announced the global single "Lost At Sea (Illa Illa 2)", in collaboration with English singer Bipolar Sunshine and Indonesian singer Afgan. On October 22, 2021, 131 Label announced the half album Cosmos, released on November 11. On April 21, B.
I officially announced his plans for a 2022 global album project entitled Love Or Loved (LOL). He also revealed that he would be returning with a pre-release single, followed by two separate EPs. On May 2, he announced that his pre-release single "BTBT", would be dropping on May 13.
On June 23, Dingo Music announced that B. I and LOONA's Chuu will be releasing a collaboration single, "Lullaby", on June 27. On July 25, B.
I's fanclub announced B. I's lighstick "BINBONG". Pre-orders started on July 29.
On September 26, B. I announced his global EP, Love or Loved Part. 1, will be released on November 18.
On October 11, 2022, B. I's agency, 131 Label, announced that they have splintered off from IOK M and will be moving forward as an independent agency. And thus, B.
I was already no longer a part of the parent label IOK Company or its subsidiary IOK M. On February 3, 2023, 131 Label posted a statement explaining that B. I stepped down as the head of 131 and would release his second full-length album in the first half of the year.
Love or Loved Part. 2 will be released in the second half of the year instead. On April 27, B.
I released the digital single "TTM", made in collaboration with rappers Sik-K and Reddy, as a project single produced by the Korean men lifestyle magazine ESQUIRE. On May 1, B. I announced his second full-length album To Die For, set to be released on June 1.
On September 9, it was announced that his third EP Love or Loved Part. 2 will be released on November 10. "4 Letters" will be pre-released on September 29, and "Loved" will be pre-released on October 27.
On January 15, it was announced that B. I will release his first Japanese EP ただいま on March 13. On May 13, B.
I announced that he will release the digital single "Tasty" on May 20. On January 31, 2025, B. I announced his third full-length album, Wonderland, scheduled for June 1.
On April 28, B. I was announced to have been appointed as the representative producer of 131 Label. He will lead the company's vision and direction and oversee the planning and producing of the label.
