Youngbin participated in JYP Entertainment and KBS2 survival show The Entertainer, where she ranked 2nd, thus earning a place in the girl group DDDD 25. It is presumed that DDDD 25 has disbanded without debut sometime in late 2025. On September 5, Youngbin's official SNS opened simultaneously announcing her then-upcoming debut digital single "Freak Show", set for release on September 17.
On February 27, 2026, INNIT Entertainment announced that Youngbin's exclusive contract has been terminated due to her personal reasons. It was also announced that her official SNS accounts would cease to update. However, they would not be closed for the fans to continue viewing her existing content.
