On September 21, 2020, Dawon was announced as an upcoming contestant in the 2020 teen reality competition show CAP-TEEN. She was did not pass the first performance evaluation and thus was eliminated. On October 31, 2022, Dawon made her debut with the release of her first digital single "We Loved".
In October 2024, Dawon made a return to media when she was revealed as an upcoming contestant in TV Chosun's revival show Campus GAYO.
