On July 17, 2023, Yona was introduced as a contestant on the SBS survival show Universe Ticket. In the ninth episode, it was revealed that Yona was eliminated. On April 26, 2025, CELAI, an AI company, which combines AI technology and creative media content, held the global competition "CELEB AI PAGEANT" to recruit future model members of their upcoming girl group, of which, Yona took part in and eventually became a finalist.
Thus, she became a member of the upcoming girl group Celai (M1), which eventually made their debut on May 23, 2025 with the digital single "Louder". That same month, on May 3, 2025, Yona was introduced as a contestant on the survival show Stellar Sugar. During the show's final live performance, it was announced that Yona was among the candidates to be considered as additional members in the final lineup of the group Stellar Sugar would produce.
The decision would be revealed through the show's live broadcast on May 24. Due to the members of Stellar Sugar's debut team going their separate ways and the lack of news from the program's agency, it is presumed the final group has been scrapped with Yona's final ranking remaining to be unknown. On October 12, she was revealed as a member of I-CODE under CNS Entertainment.
