On November 15, 2014, Chaebin was introduced as a vocalist of the girl group Awe5ome Baby under the name Dahee. On June 19, 2015, Awe5ome Baby debuted with the release of their first and only digital single, "Why Should I? ".
On December 4, 2016, it was announced that the group disbanded. In 2017, Chaebin then participated in the Mnet survival show Idol School. Unfortunately, she was eliminated on Episode 9 with her final rank being 24th place.
On August 7, 2021, she made her solo debut with the release of her digital single "Would U". On January 3, 2023, it was announced that Yi Chaebin has signed with PIG Entertainment. By autumn 2023, she had departed from the agency and was no longer listed as an artist.
