On August 18, 2011, Tia made her debut as a member of the girl group ChoColat. In April 2017, Melanie revealed in an interview with Asian Junkie that the group had disbanded in February 2017 following the expiration of their contracts. Prior to that, the group had been widely inactive for 4 years.
On May 25, 2018, Tia made her solo debut with the digital single "No More".
