Suen first debuted under StarMade Entertainment as the leader and lead vocal of the member girl group A. sia on May 11, 2006 with their debut studio album, Baby Cat. Suen had one solo track released on their debut album, titled "I Don't Know".
However, the girl group disbanded a year later without a comeback. On June 24, 2008, Suen debuted in the three-member girl group SSEN with the release of their debut album First Album. SSEN also never released any further music and is presumed to have permanently disbanded sometime later.
A year later, Suen was featured on "The Beginning", the first track of the album The 3rd Mini Album by Taegoon which was released on September 7, 2009. Suen then went onto making a solo debut with the digital single "Don't Cry" on April 1, 2010. Just two months later in June, Suen made a comeback with her second digital single "Parting".
On September 15, Suen was one of the featured singers on the digital single, "Love's Number", released by J-hwan. Following her solo releases and collaboration, Suen went inactive for 3 years. She made a temporary return to singing with the collaborative digital single, "Tears on Christmas", with rapper Bliss, released on December 23, 2013.
Suen went inactive again for the next 3 years. In 2016, Suen returned as a singer-songwriter and producer under the K-indie band Hanalog Tempo.
