On March 7, 2013, Sojung debuted as a member of the girl group LADIES' CODE with the mini album Code#01 Bad Girl. On May 4, 2017, Sojung made her solo debut with the digital single "Better than Me". On February 16, 2020, it was announced that Sojung, along with her fellow members, did not renew their contract with Polaris Entertainment.
On April 14, 2021, it was revealed that Sojung has signed an exclusive contract with JTBC Studios.
