On May 17, 2012, she debuted as a member of She'z with their first digital single "She'z Holic". On December 9, 2015, she made her solo debut under Sam Entertainment with the digital single "Love Is The Key". This was followed by her second digital single "Re-Born" on May 19, 2016.
In October 2016, Sam Entertainment opened auditions to find members for their upcoming girl group, with Jiyoung as their first member. However, the group was presumably cancelled pre-debut as no further updates were given.
