On April 21, 2015, New Planet Entertainment announced that they planned to debut the girl group N-Bulance sometime in 2015. Rui was later introduced as one of the members of the group. Unfortunately, their debut never materialized; no further news of an upcoming debut was released and they were last seen together as a group in June 2015.
On August 17, 2016, she made her solo debut with the digital single "Exciting". In 2016, she was introduced as a member of the then upcoming girl group H. U.
B. The group released a pre-debut single before officially debuting on February 9, 2017 with the digital single "Girl Gang". In 2017, she became a contestant on the survival show MIXNINE.
Unfortunately, she was eliminated in episode 13 after ranking in 25th place. After the departure of Gracie on April 8, 2018, she was appointed as the group's new leader. The group is presumed to have disbanded sometime in 2019, due to inactivity.
