On April 24, 2017, she made her debut as the soloist singer-songwriter Jieun. K under JINI Entertainment with her first self-composed digital single, "Red Lips". At some unknown point in time, she left the agency.
In early 2020, now known as Roa, she became a trainee under Sol Entertainment and was later announced as a member of their four-member upcoming girl group DAILY. However, Roa remained a pre-debut member only briefly and she left the girl group and agency within a few months. Following her departure from Sol Entertainment, Roa joined Corazon Entertainment and under her new agency, she released her second self-composed digital single, "I Know", on June 1, 2020.
However, Roa gain departed from her agency soon after. By 2021, she released her third and latest digital single as an independent singer-songwriter; her third single, "Summer Night", was eventually released on September 1, 2021. Sometime in early 2022, Roa joined GBK Entertainment and became a trainee on their online training platform Universe, which aims to select girls to became potential members of a future girl group.
On November 29, 2022, she was revealed as one of the five selected members of GBK's upcoming girl group MEP-C. However, in early 2023, she presumably left the group after the deletion of her profile post. On March 4, 2023, she was officially revealed as the first member of the upcoming girl group X:IN.
They debuted on April 11, 2023 with their first digital single "Keeping the Fire". On July 8, Escrow Entertainment announced that she had left the group. On September 2, Gogeum Music announced that they had signed an exclusive contract with Roa.
On May 3, 2025, Roa was introduced as a contestant on the survival show Stellar Sugar. She ranked 4th in the show's finale, making her a member of the debut lineup. Due to the members of Stellar Sugars debut team going their separate ways and the lack of news from the program's agency, it is presumed the final group has been scrapped.
On October 12, she was revealed as a member of I-CODE under CNS Entertainment.
