Sometime in 2020, Minyoung joined the trainee group YOURS under Deep Studio Entertainment, as evident by changing her Instagram username to include "your" and being followed by the group's official Instagram account. She was confirmed as a trainee when a profile page for her was made on YOURS' website. She left YOURS and Deep Studio Entertainment that same year.
On March 22, 2023, Minyoung made her solo debut with the digital single "말하지 않아도".
