In the early 2000s, YesPlease Entertainment released a line of early tech mobile ringtones featuring children's voices and colorful mobile UI redesigns that appealed to children. These features became a sensation and became popular for their cuteness and aegyo. The children who's voices were recorded and featured became known as 'Coloring Babies' and thus following their popularity, YesPlease Entertainment made plans to debut a kids girl group with the child voice actresses.
In 2003, YesPlease Entertainment formed Coloring Baby 7 Princess (later simply 7Princess) of which ORORA, then known as 'Oh Soyoung', was a member of. During their first year of activities, they primarily focused on being featured in broadcasts, shows and radio and were brand ambassadors. On November 25, 2004, 7Princess made their official music debut with the release of their debut studio album Winter...
Spring, Summer, Autumn. 7Princess became immensely popular in media and even performed abroad, such as in China and North Korea. Oh Soyoung was the oldest member, leader, main vocalist and at times the face of the group.
After 5 years of activities, she left the group in 2007 with the graduation of the third generation of members. On March 4, 2018, 7Princess had a one-off reunion to be featured on season 2 of Two Yoo Project Sugar Man. In April 2014, now known as 'Oh Inyoung', she was announced as a contestant in JTBC's reality survival show Girls On Fire.
Unfortunately, she was eliminated during the first round after receiving 0 judge votes; her performance was not televised and only released online. Eventually in early 2025, she returned as a soloist singer under the stage ORORA. She made her debut on February 27, 2025 with the release of the English digital single "Vulnerable Night".
