On September 21, 2020, Yubin was announced as an upcoming contestant in the 2020 teen reality competition show CAP-TEEN. She was the 5th place finalist of the show. Her song, "Bloom", which was featured in the show for a competitive round, was later released in the album CAP-TEEN TOP7.
On May 13, 2022, Yubin made a brief debut with the release of the digital single "Love U" under Xanadu Entertainment. Later that year, she was a featured singer in several songs by indie artists Dawn Window, Brunch Recipe and Standing Egg, however, she soon left the agency in early 2023 and had a three year gap in activities. On October 1, 2025, she was a featured singer in ember's song "Lost Connection".
