In December 2020, Kim Eui Young appeared as a contestant on the reality survival show, Miss Trot 2, placing 5th overall. Kim Eui Young made her solo debut on December 20, 2022 with the digital single "Come To Me". On December 24, 2024, it was reported that she signed an exclusive contract with DR Music.
On May 16, 2025, it was announced that she will be releasing the single album "StarTrot Part. 1" on May 20.
