On January 27, 2012, Hyoeun, along with Minhee, were revealed as the two newest members of Stellar. They officially debuted with the group on February 8 with the digital single "UFO". On February 25, 2018, the members of Stellar announced the group's disbandment after 7 years during a fanmeeting.
On January 30, 2023, Hyoeun announced the release of her first solo digital single "The Day We Meet Again", set to be released two days later on January 30. On December 18, Hyoeun released her second digital single "Snow".
