On November 2, 2021, she debuted as a soloist under the solo stage name J-DAY with the release of her first and sole digital single, "I Want To Love". The single was released as a collaborative piece between friends, namely J-DAY herself and Shin Young Min who is the keyboardist of the indie band, 95z. Sometime in early 2022, she joined GBK Entertainment and became a trainee on their online training platform Universe, which aims to select girls to became potential members of a future girl group.
On November 29, 2022, now known as Chiu, was revealed as one of the five selected members of GBK's upcoming girl group MEP-C. However, in early 2023, she presumably left the group after the deletion of her profile post. On March 6, 2023, she was officially revealed as the third member of the upcoming girl group X:IN.
They officially debuted on April 11, 2023 with their first digital single "Keeping the Fire". On June 7, Escrow Entertainment announced that Chi. u had been departed from the group due to personal circumstances.
In early 2024, it was discovered that she had joined Be the max Entertainment and had become a member and leader of the pre-debut girl group I:MOND. They will debut with the single album "We Are Gravity" on June 3. However, on June 2, it was announced that the release has been pushed back to June 4 due to issues in the distribution process.
On January 22, 2025, it was reported that I:MOND's upcoming comeback was entirely self-produced following their departure from Be the max Entertainment in July 2024. On January 27, it was revealed that the group had established their own agency EMMP Company.
