In 2018, she, along with Sia, joined Chic Angel following the departures of Bomi and Sya Sya. She officially debuted in the girl group on July 25, with the release of their collaboration single, "Bada", with Cupid and Soo Kyung. On October 18, 2019, she made her solo debut with the digital single "Re Born".
On July 20, 2020, she debuted as a member of the project girl group CHIC&IDLE, later known as Chic&I's, with the digital single "3! 4! ".
On May 29, 2023, Dayeon announced her departure from Chic Angel and Liz Entertainment through a handwritten letter posted on her Instagram.
