On August 20, 2019, Dawon, initially introduced as member Chaeah, debuted as one of the first generation members of Kim Youngmin (S-team Company)'s 'campaign idol' girl group, Sunshine, with the release of their first digital single, "Now Let's Reduce! ". On October 18, 2021, Dawon debuted as a soloist with the release of her first digital single "One Pick".
