Cheska debuted as a member of FIESTAR on August 31, 2012 with the group's first single album "Vista". On March 19, 2014, it was announced that Cheska would be leaving the group. Her final appearance as a FIESTAR member took place on April 29, 2014 at a fanmeeting.
On October 25, 2016, she debuted as a solo artist with her first digital single "Swish". In May 2018, she announced via Instagram that she had decided to leave the music industry. On a Twitch stream in February 2020, Cheska shared details about her time as an idol; this included including poor group dynamics within FIESTAR, her experience with Unpretty Rapstar, interactions and impressions with other idols, music groups, trainee debt and contracts, and sexual misconduct within the industry.
She also revealed that her former agency, LOEN, forced her to lie about being born in Alabama instead of her actual birthplace in Seoul to make her seem American-born. As of April 2020, she is currently active as a Twitch streamer.
