On October 29, 2020, Jaeyeon debuted as a member of SWAY with their first digital single "Episode 1. ". On October 10, 2023, he was identified as the contestant SingAgain3 Singer No.
51 (싱어게인3 51호 가수) on the JTBC survival show Sing Again 3. On November 9, he passed the first round in the third episode after performing "Your Shampoo Scent in the Flowers (Ballad Version)" which he released with SAya for the Be Melodramatic OST. On November 16, he was eliminated from Sing Again 3 after performing "푸르른 날" by in the fourth episode with Park Je Up.
On January 12, 2025, he was shown as a contestant in the first episode of the ENA survival show Undercover. He passed the first round, but his performance was not released. On February 2, he passed the second round after performing "An Old Song" by Standing Egg in the fourth episode with Lee Seung Min, Jung Dain, and homezone.
On February 16, during the third round, he was eliminated after performing "Song of the Wind" by in the sixth episode in a battle against Kim Eui Seo and Jinwon.
