On July 11, 2025, the group, PTMRS, opened their Instagram account and introduced themselves to be "a music collective" with "rotating part time performers". The group's first generation consists of five members: 9nine member Uki Satake, songwriter-producers Jay Choe and Jo YoungBae, as well as vocalists Yuting and Minnie. The group is founded and led by Jay Choe.
On August 4, 2025, PTMRS announced their first digital single "Dreamwalkers", set for release on August 8 as a pre-release for their debut EP which is scheduled for September 5. It was later announced that their debut EP would ultimately be released in September 12. On August 17, the group announced their second digital single "It's You Baby", set for release on August 22 as the second pre-release for their debut EP Love & Scandal.
On October 13, PTMRS announced they would be releasing their third digital single "First Bite" on October 24. On January 25, 2026, PTMRS announced the release of their fourth digital single "BeBe" on January 30.
