Maryam was seen participating in an audition held by Shinwha Entertainment to find members for NEXTU. However, she did not proceed to the next round. On January 1, 2025, Na Entertainment teased their then-upcoming global girl group NWH:I on Instagram with Maryam as one of the trainees they follow.
On June 23, Na Entertainment announced a collaboration group between DUSTIN and NWH:I called DNA with Maryam as one of the members. The group made their debut with the digital single "Change the World" on September 3. NWH:I made their on October 24, 2025 with the digital single "Like a Flame".
The same month, she was introduced as Mariam during the release of NWH:I's debut promotions.
