On August 19, 2009, B2Y made their debut with the mini album Babyboys To Yearninggirls and the title track "Jeez". With this, they had their debut stage on Music Bank on September 25. On October 7, the group was selected as the Power Rookie of October at the Rookie Music Awards.
With this, they were posted on the SBS' Inkigayo homepage for one month and invited to perform on Inkigayo twice. On June 22, 2010, the group returned after a year long hiatus and released two music videos, an adult version and a regular version, for the title track of their upcoming mini album, "Be Crazy", through GomTV. The music video was embroiled in controversy for its provocative concept and was deemed ineligible for broadcast.
On July 2, their second mini album Be Cra2Y was officially released to streaming platforms and the group began promotions for it. On December 17, B2Y was reported to have disbanded, with the members going their separate ways. This was later clarified by To Be Continue Group on January 14, 2011, as they confirmed that while Hanyeon had left the group to pursue a career in acting, Jinwoong enlisted for his mandatory military service, while Nara and Seoyeon were removed from the group due to "immoral behavior".
With this, they intended to reorganize B2Y into a four-member vocal boy group, scheduled for promotions in the first half of that year. As no further updates were given, it was presumed that the agency's plans to reorganize had fell through and the group had disbanded.
