She debuted as a member of SISTAR on June 4, 2010 with the group's first single "Push Push". On May 2, 2011, she debuted as a member of the sub-unit SISTAR19 with the digital single "Ma Boy". On May 22, 2017, Starship Entertainment announced that SISTAR would be disbanding after seven years.
