Prior to her debut, she received training to debut as an idol. On October 8, 2021, she made her solo debut with the digital single "So Beautiful". On May 26, 2024, she announced a musical collaboration with Taiwanese singer REAL's agency Sky Future and stated that she would be releasing a song in Taiwan in the future.

She also kicked off her full-fledged Taiwanese activities by attending the One Song One Person REAL Cup Music Competition as a judge. On September 25, she attended the FIF music show stage Summer Adventure and performed her two upcoming songs, "It's Love" and "So I Wake Up", a collaboration with Taiwanese singer REAL. On November 1, 2025, she debuted as one half of the project female duo RiRi with their first mini album Rush (Yes Yes, Call It Love), under the name Gyuri.
