Juliet made their debut in 1997 as a co-ed rock band under Wonder Music with their debut studio album Juliet Since 1997. The band consisted of three members which were vocalist Kim Juil, guitarist Kim Namsang and bassist Park Hyunjin. With their debut, Juliet was able to temporarily revive the rock genre in South Korea and gain some recognition.
However, there were financial problems with their agency. Starting from July 1997, the agency was affected by the which lead to the band's future albums to be scrapped. Kim Namsang and Park Hyunjin eventually departed from Juliet, subsequently leaving the Kim Juil as the sole member during this time.
The band went to a hiatus and remained inactive throughout 1998–1999. In 2000, Juliet made plans to return as a female duo with Kim Minkyung being added to lineup as another vocalist. They eventually switched to being a female idol duo, leaving the band image.
With an entirely different concept, Juliet released their second studio album I Love Juliet on April 21. After the album's promotions, Juliet ultimately announced their disbandment. Following the disbandment of Juliet, all the members went their separate ways: - Kim Juil returned to the public in 2005 to act as the lead actress in the show I am Cinderella.
In 2008, she debuted in the rock band Angie. She married fellow Angie member G. Gorilla in 2012.
- Kim Minkyung was inactive in media. However, in 2009, she was featured as a guest singer in two of Chae Youngjae's mini albums and a single. She also was featured as a guest singer again in 2012 in a track on the studio album of Jung Kyungho.
The circumstances of the other members are still currently unknown.
