Aida debuted as a three-member teenage girl band that debuted sometime in September 1999 with their debut studio album, Angels in Destress & Anger. With an average age of 14. 5 years, the band consisted of: vocalist and guitarist, Eunyoung; rapper, vocalist and bassist, Yeojin; and vocalist, drummer and pianist, Kkotbyul.
Aida was a rock band that set themselves apart with a refreshing image of high-school youths creating music. However, their concept was not entirely new as another girl band, Hans Band, who debuted before Aida, gained more attention for the concept. As a result, Aida was often reported in the news as a "knockoff Hans Band".
Aida released one more studio album in April 2000, Reload, before disbanding for unknown reasons. Following the disbandment of Aida, the members went their separate ways: - Eunyoung later took the stage name Lucy and in 2002, she was featured on an OST of Fun Movie, with a song titled "Movie Star". In 2004, she attended Korea University and graduated in 2008 with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.
In 2013, it was reported that she has since changed her name to Cho Eunyoo and been working as an announcer for OBS Gyeongin TV. She married on May 20, 2017. The circumstances of Yeojin and Kkotbyul are unknown.
