On October 13, 2020, MLD Entertainment announced they would be launching a new boy group in December in partnership with NHN and Sony Music. The group would debut not only in Korea but also in Japan and the United States, simultaneously. It was also announced that MLD had signed a business partner agreement with ICM Partners for activities in the U.
S. On October 14, a pre-teaser photo was released featuring all the members. At midnight of October 17, a scheduler for October was released with the group to release a music video for "Dracula" on the 27th.
At midnight of November 1, a scheduler for November was released. The following day, a teaser photo was released, revealing the member's faces and stage names. On December 23, 2020, MLD announced the group would be making their official debut on January 11, 2021.
On December 28, 2020, T1419 released the scheduler for their first single album titled "Before Sunrise Part. 1". The Japanese version of the title track was released at the same time.
On March 19, 2021, the group announced that they would be making a comeback on March 31 with their second single album "Before Sunrise Part. 2". The Japanese version of the title track was released at the same time.
On August 9, the group announced that they would be making another comeback on August 23 with their third single album "Before Sunrise Part. 3". The Japanese version of the title track was released at the same time.
On November 24, the group revealed a scheduler for their first digital single "Red Light, Green Light", set to be released on December 2. The Japanese version was released at the same time. On January 11, 2022, the group announced their Japanese debut with their first mini album, Our Teen:Blue Side, set to be released on March 9.
On March 15, the group announced the release of their second digital single "Edelweiss", set to be released on March 22. On April 29, the group announced the release of "Run Up (Korean Ver. )", set to be released on May 9.
On July 3, T1419 released their first Spanish digital single "When The Sun Goes Down". On October 17, MLD rebranded the group's name to TFN and added the meaning of "Try For New" to the existing "Teenager Fourteen Nineteen". A few days later, the group announced their comeback with their first mini album Before Sunrise Part.
4, set to be released on October 26. On October 24, MLD announced that Sian would be going on hiatus to recover from sensorineural hearing loss. On February 4, 2023 they announced, across the group's Japanese social medias, that the group would be holding their first ever Japanese tour, titled TFN Japan Live Tour 2023 Before Sunrise, from February 23 to February 25.
On February 8, the group announced the release of "Mirage", set to be released on February 22. On February 25, the group announced the release of their second Japanese mini album, Our Teen:Yellow Side, set to be released on April 26. On June 9, MLD released a statement and revealed that Sian would be going on a second hiatus to receive intensive treatment for his sensorineural hearing loss.
On August 17, the group released their second Spanish digital single "Ice Cream". On February 29, 2024, MLD Entertainment announced their official disbandment after the members collectively decided to end their exclusive contracts.
