On April 27, 2024, DNA Entertainment opened up SNS accounts for their upcoming boy group SW:C set to debut in August 2024. On December 22, 2024, Geon was introduced as a member. On January 2, 2025, it was announced that SW:C would make their debut in the first half of the 2025.
On January 9, it was announced that the group would release the pre-debut single in February 2025. On February 7, DNA Entertainment announced that Chen Yu had left the group due to health issues. On February 12, three new members were unveiled to be Wangseok, Satoshi and Hwi.
It was later revealed that the three were added following the start of DNA Entertainment's joint venture with their original company DND ENS, which would also begin co-managing SW:C's activities. On March 1, 2025, SW:C announced their pre-debut digital single (labeled as a single album), "Sweet Day", scheduled for April 2025. The release date was later revealed to be April 20.
On April 26, PLAN B's Roy, backed by former member James, a friend of both SW:C members Hwi and Wangseok, as well as PLAN B company's staff came forward with numerous accusations about the two former PLAN B members. While Wangseok is accused of physical assault and mockery against Roy, both him and Hwi are also accused of bad behavior by a friend and fleeing and cutting all contact with the group and company without notice by the staff. DND ENS and DNA Entertainment stated that the assault and mockery were a result of language barriers and that Hwi and Wangseok returned to Korea while neither had signed a contract with PLAN B's company.
Following this statement, Roy also claimed that Wangseok sexually harassed James and smoked indoors. Both SW:C members were accused of property damage and infidelity. DND E&S and DNA Entertainment denied all allegations and confirmed plans to pursue legal action.
They also asked to meet with MY PLAN and Roy for an open discussion. MY PLAN stated that the two Korean members did leave the group and company without warning and claimed manipulation of evidence by DND and DNA. Former PLAN B member Hao confirmed the allegations against Hwi and Wongseok made by MY PLAN.
On January 5, 2026, SW:C announced that Geon left the group due to personal reasons. On April 2, SW:C announced their second single "Born to Move", scheduled for April 25.
