Shindong made his debut on November 6, 2005 as a member of SUPER JUNIOR with the group's first album Super Junior 05. He debuted as a member of SUPER JUNIOR's second sub-unit, SUPER JUNIOR-T, on February 23, 2007, with the single album "Rokkugo!!! ".

On June 5, Shindong debuted as a member of SUPER JUNIOR-Happy with the mini album Cooking? Cooking!.
