On April 5, 2021, SPARKLING opened up their official Twitter account. On April 8, they then opened up their Instagram account. On April 12, a group poster spoiler was revealed with the official group poster being revealed the next day, along with the date May 7, 2021.
Despite not being an actual group, Sparkling's "debut" release is doing remarkably well: on August 28, Hanteo Chart officially announced that their first mini album "Diamond" had topped its daily physical album chart for August 27. According to Hanteo Chart, "Diamond" sold a total of 25,583 copies on August 27 alone.
