On May 29, 2024, SM Classics announced that Yohan Kim will be debuting under the agency. They later unveiled profile photos. On June 3, they announced his solo debut digital single, "Hummingbird", set to be released on June 7.
On August 26, SM Classics introduced Yohan Kim as a member of their upcoming boy group, SM Jazz Trio. They debuted on August 30, 2024, with the release of their first digital single "Supernova (Jazz Ver. )".
On December 2, SM Classic announced the digital single "Whiplash (Yohan Kim Experience)", scheduled for December 12.
