SIGNAL was put together as a team in June 2018. During their first year together, they mostly did activities in Japan. On August 16, 2019, it was announced that the group would be debuting with their first digital single album, "The First Signal : Begins", on August 28.
Following a over year and a half of no updates on a comeback, on April 5, 2021, a teaser was released announcing the group's first-ever and only comeback with their second digital single, "The Second Signal : End", slated for release on April 8. On June 1, Elmusix released a statement through the SIGNAL Fancafe which announced that the group has disbanded after a lengthy discussion and careful consideration between both parties. After numerous discussions regarding future activites, the members have decided to end their activities as SIGNAL and to pursue solo activities.
