On July 1, 2024, TEN Entertainment revealed a teaser clip for its new audition program, SCOOL, announcing a call for auditions between July 1 until July 14. The show premiered on September 28, and concluded on November 30, with Chiwon ranking first, D'om ranking second, M ranking third, Kyojun ranking fourth, Jagger ranking fifth, Exxi ranking sixth and Park Jin Woo ranking seventh. On June 20, 2025, TEN Entertainment announced Park Jin Woo had left SEVENTOEIGHT.

On July 1, 2025, it was announced that SEVENTOEIGHT will be debuting on July 28, 2025 with the single album "SevenToEight". A pre-release single "PDSR (Please Don't Stop the Rain)" was released on July 15.
