In mid December of 2023, the group opened an SNS account on TikTok under the name presstherewind. Later on, Elaya was revealed as the first member of the group. On December 17, 2023, Wooshin was revealed as a member of RE:WIND.
On February 29, 2024, ALLELE ENTERTAINMENT announced that Wooshin would be leaving the group due to personal matters. On March 26, 2024, Youngjin was revealed as a member. On April 17, 2024, Lei was revealed as a member.
On May 15, 2024, Hyunjoon was revealed as a member. On September 21, it was revealed Hyunjoon left the group. On November 2, it was announced that Youngjin will be going by Eddie.
On February 15, 2025, they announced a pre-release signal song scheduled for February 22. Two days later, it was announced that the title would be "Re:Set". On March 18, RE:WIND shared their debut calendar confirming their debut on March 28 with the digital single "Forever".
On May 2, RE:WIND confirmed their participation for the 2025 America's Next Top Hitmaker. On July 27, the group released a scheduler for their upcoming EP, Re:Minisce, scheduled for release on August 8.
