On June 30, 2022, the Psychord Twitter account announced the formation of Psychord, a three-member virtual entertainment team. The members were Louiszzan, who had debuted in 2020, Yeoni, who would debut in July of 2022, and Gam Jay, who would debut in August 2022. After Yeoni and Jay's debuts, the group would continue to stream individually and as a group.
On August 16, 2022, Psychord announced their group fan name to be Villain (악단). On August 22, they revealed their group logo and clarified their formation date to be June 28 of 2022. On September 18, Psychord added a fourth member, Haruto, who made his streaming debut on November 19.
On December 10, Psychord announced their fifth and final member, Oversleep, who has been streaming since 2021. The group occasionally released musical covers, such as "Villain" by HUBOG, "Tomboy" by i-dle, and "CITRUS" by Da-ICE. They made their official musical debut with their first original song, "CRAZIER", on February 23, 2023.
On January 18, 2026, Psychord that their contract with Parable Entertainment has ended and that they will be moving forward as an independent artist and creator group.
