Before their official debut, the members were introduced and started communicating with fans through their official YouTube channel, where they actively released cover videos to showcase their individual talents and did live-stream broadcasts, as well as vlogs. Each track was written and composed by the members themselves, and produced by HYBE's producer EL CAPITXN, who has previously worked with BTS, IU, and PSY. On June 19, their fandom name was revealed to be PLLI.
On August 1, the group announced they will release their first mini album, Asterum: The Shape of Things to Come, on August 24. On December 6, the group announced their second digital single, "Merry Pllistmas", set to be released on December 12. On January 31, the group announced they will release their second mini album, Asterum: 134-1, on February 26.
On August 12, the group announced their third digital single, "Pump Up The Volume! ", set to be released on August 20. On January 9, 2025, PLAVE announced their third mini album, Caligo Pt.
1, scheduled for February 3. On May 1, the group announced their plans to make their Japanese debut with their first single, "Hide and Seek". The next day, the single was revealed to be released digitally on June 16, and physically on July 9.
On September 8, PLAVE announced the Korean version of "Hide and Seek", scheduled for September 15. On October 24, PLAVE announced their second single album "Plbbuu" scheduled for November 10. On March 12, during the PLAVE 3rd Anniversary Special Live, the group announced that they will release their fourth mini album, Caligo Pt.
2, scheduled for April 13.
