He debuted as a member of the boy group SPECTRUM on May 10, 2018 with the mini album Be Born. On July 10, 2020, WYNN Entertainment announced through the group's fan cafe that SPECTRUM disbanded and the members' contracts were terminated due to the company's struggles. On December 29, 2023, he was introduced as a member of the upcoming boy group AWIN (then known as TRY).

On February 1, 2025, it was announced that he had changed his stage name to Roan. The group made their debut on February 16, 2025, with the digital single "Hashtag(#Cheese)".
