In 2020, Rainbow Company (later known as Rainbow E&M) created Future Idol, an idol development project for the purpose of debuting various project idol groups throughout 2021 through its project, known as 'Future Idol Asia'. On November 21, 2020, Future Idol Asia introduced Nonstop and its members through their YouTube, FutureIdolTV. While pre-debut, Nonstop was one of several teen idol groups who performed a showcase at YES24 Live Hall on May 23, 2021 as part of the 'Future Idol Debut Project' event.
A revised introduction video was uploaded on June 22, 2021, which revealed that all the previous members had left the lineup with the exception of Hamin and Antonio (now Hyeonseo). As a result, new members Myeongjae, Byeongcheol and Seungbin were added to turn Nonstop into a five-member boy group. A few months later, FutureIdolTV finally announced their upcoming debut, set to occur in September 2021 with the release of their debut single "Fly Away" and as the seventh group and first boy group in the debut project.
The group then made their debut on October 1, 2021. On July 27, 2022, Nonstop revealed their upcoming second digital single, "Hope Song", with new members Bonseok, Eunchong, Jaebin, Huisang, Junho and Jongwon, all whom were formerly pre-debut members in 2021 but did not become members for their debut single. Later, "Hope Song" was officially released on July 29, in addition Jaebin didn't appear into the MV hinting he left the group.
