In February 1, 2016, Seunghoon was added as a member of a boy group named 'ZEST' under Zenith Media Contents. Unfortunately, the group presumably disbanded due to inactivity of SNS accounts. In 2017, three members and a pre-debut member named were contestants on the second season of Mnet's survival show Produce 101.
Yeonkuk, Heesu and Hoyeon were eliminated in episode 5, while Yunsung withdrew from the show due to health issues. Heesu later left his company shortly after the show ended due to his health condition. It was later revealed that Seunghoon, Yeonkuk, and Hoyeon were participating in a Japanese musical titled 'Altar Boyz'.
Sam and Myeong were originally planned to be part of the group, but before their debut was announced it was confirmed that they would not be part of the final lineup. Kim Myeong had appeared in videos, photos, practices etc, whereas Sam only practiced with the members for a while. On March 13, 2018, LUK Factory confirmed that there would be a total of 9 members and announced that Junyong would be part of the group.
On March 21st at midnight, NOIR revealed through their official pages the group's official schedule for their debut with their first mini album titled "Twenty's Noir" on April 9th. On March 22, NOIR revealed the track list for their first mini album titled "Twenty's Noir," the album will contain six tracks including the title track titled "Gangsta. " On April 1 at midnight, NOIR revealed an audio preview for each track included in their first mini album titled "Twenty's Noir.
" From March 22 to April 5, NOIR has been releasing consecutive individual teaser images and short individual teaser videos for their mini album titled "Twenty's Noir. " On April 9 at 12 p. m.
KST, the new group released their first mini album “Twenty’s Noir” along with the music video for the title track. “Gangsta” is an electronic dance track that showcases the members’ strong rapping and emotional vocals. "TOPGUN" is the group's second release after their debut, released on October 2 with "Airplane Mode" as the title track.
It features six songs. Individual music video teasers for each member were released prior to the release of the music video for "Airplane Mode. " The group returned in June with their third mini album.
"Abyss" was released on June 12 and features three songs, including the title track "Doom Doom" and its accompanying instrumental. "Up The Sky: 飛" is the group's fourth mini album, released on April 27. It features five songs, including the title track "Lucifer.
" On November 5, 2021, it was announced that Junyong would be going to fulfill his mandatory military service and will enlist on the 8th of the same month. On August 19, 2022, it was reported that Yunsung had been harrassing his ex-girlfriend for two weeks, and had broken into her home, threatened her with a knife to force her to reconcile with him, and strangled her when she refused. As a result, he received a one-year prison sentence with a two-year probation period, as well as 80 hours of community service.
On May 2, 2024, it was revealed that members Junyong, Siheon, Hoyeon, Siha, Minhyuk, and Daewon had won their lawsuit against LUK Factory for contract termination. They claimed that the agency violated various obligations including providing minimum human and material resources to support their entertainment activities and attempting to transfer their exclusive contract to another agency without their consent. Their contract was effectively terminated in July 2022 and a lawsuit was filed.
In response, LUK Factory filed a lawsuit seeking damages from the members. They presumably disbanded soon after.
