Huijun joined SBS' reality competition television series The Fan, but was eliminated in episode 9. On December 22, 2019, Huijin appeared in the performance video released for the MCND pre-debut song "Top Gang", which was then released on January 2, 2020. On February 27, he then officially made his debut in MCND with the release of their debut mini album Into the Ice Age.
On May 30, 2025, TOP Media announced that Huijun, along with Minjae and Win will be going on a temporary hiatus due to personal schedule. On June 12, he was introduced as a contestant of Mnet's survival show Boys II Planet, representing TOP Media. On August 14, he was eliminated in episode 5 after ranking 77th place.
